Founded in 2013, Dragonwing is a female-founded brand that began with a simple mission: to create high-quality base layers that were designed specifically to support growing girls’ bodies. At that time, women’s athletic wear didn’t fit and wasn’t age appropriate. We wanted to get away from the “pink it and shrink it” mentality and to develop bras and undergarments specifically designed for active girls in sports.
Over the years, we've grown and evolved, expanding our focus to include fashion-forward activewear, dancewear and swimwear designs for girls, teens, and beyond. Our commitment to empowering the next generation of strong, confident women remains at the heart of everything we do. From the gym to the dance studio and beyond, Dragonwing designs are crafted to support and inspire, helping you feel as bold and unique as you truly are.
Dragonwing is a portmanteau of “dragonfly” and “wing.” The dragonfly is a powerful symbol across many cultures—representing transformation, resilience, love, and growth. We see it as a reminder that change is beautiful and that becoming who you’re meant to be is part of the journey.
The “wing” stands for freedom, movement, and limitless possibility—a belief that you can dream big, take flight, and do the impossible.
