Dragonwing x NYFW Fall 2024 Updates
Last Update: Tuesday, September 3rd - updates to Fit Session Schedule - we are also still finalizing the second Group Photoshoot opportunity.
General New York Fashion Week Disclosure: We are always very organized, but this is the fashion world - A LOT of things happen or are subject to change over the last few weeks leading up to the show. So be prepared! I will be there a few days before the show, and I will be there all weekend to stop all the drama in its tracks! Please do not worry and sit back and enjoy the ride! It's going to be incredible, and the show always turns out amazing!

Pending Items:
- Group Photoshoots - We are working to finalize times for two group photoshoots during the weekend. We are trying to determine the best times.
Travel
- There are multitude of travel options to the NYC area - air, train or car. For those flying, any of the NYC-metro airports (LaGuardia, JFK or Newark Liberty) work fine.
- For out of state models, we recommend arriving in the NYC area 24 hours before showtime. This will ensure that we avoid any travel-related issues. Last September we had a few close calls with weather delays where flights were delayed and/or cancelled
Accommodations
- We know a lot of you are travelling to NYC for the first time! You are free to stay where ever you like.
- A lot of us will be staying at the Conrad Hotel Downtown! We have worked with the Conrad Hotel Downtown to get a room block for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night:
- $479/night would be the rate for Deluxe Suites with Two Double Beds and $439/night for Deluxe King Suite with a Sofabed
- This is a great option for families!!

- Everyone that is attending the show needs a ticket to enter. The models DO NOT need their own ticket. But, mom, dad, siblings and extended family will need a ticket!
- There are Front Row VIP and General Admission Tickets available at the Bureau Fashion Week website.
- Front Row VIP tickets include Front Row Seating, Curated Gift Bag and 1-Hour open bar

Friday, September 6:
Morning and afternoon: Outfit Fittings

Location will be the Conrad Hotel Downtown (will take approximately 15 minutes). The fitting will be in our hotel room - please only bring one adult to the fitting (if possible).

Colorado girls: We will do fittings in Denver 1-2 weeks before the show! If you haven't signed-up, please DM us!
3:00-5:00PM: Welcome party at the Conrad Hotel Downtown (totally optional if you are available). This is a great opportunity to meet some of your ambassador besties IRL before the show!
5:00PM-bedtime: It's NYC! We want you to get out and see this amazing city! A great opportunity to get a fancy meal, see a Broadway show or go see the lights of Times Square! We encourage you to plan some fun activities together!
All Day: Individual Photoshoots will be available upon request!
Saturday, September 7:
9:30AM: Rehearsal at the Conrad Hotel Downtown! (for girls participating in Saturday's shows)

We won't get a true rehearsal at the West Edge due to shows before - but we wanted to meet up to do some runway practice and get your poses ready for the runway! A great time to also "shake off" any pre-NYFW jitters!
11:00AM: Call Time for the Kids Show (West Edge)

All girls will need to be at the West Edge for hair and make-up and show prep!

FYI - No parents will be allowed backstage! Emma, our model coordinator will be backstage and we will also do a big sis/little sis buddy system! Don't worry, our minis will be in good hands!

Shoes:
You will need to purchase shoes to walk in for the show! We want you to pick something fun! Here are shoe suggestions for each show. Please pick a shoe that you feel comfortable walking in! Gold or silver shoes will work perfect for any outfit! We encourage you to buy your shoes ASAP so you can practice walking in them!

Personal Photoshoots:
If interested, please sign-up for an NYC personal photoshoot! You are welcome to shoot in Dragonwing, your NYFW outfit, or any other outfit of your choosing. This is totally optional - but a great opportunity to get some beautiful shots with NYC as your background!
- Michelle's information
- Individual shoots will be 30 minutes in length and include 20 digital images that you will choose in an online gallery for $250. The girls may bring an additional streetwear outfit to change into, but depending on location, this might not be possible (although I'm going to bring a changing tent.)
- Mini sessions are 10 minutes in length and include 10 digital images for $175.
- ONLY siblings can combine an individual shoot. However, you can have a buddy jump in for a few shots if you sign up for back-to-back sessions or minis.
- Payment is due to confirm your spot. This will be non-refundable due to the limited spots available.
- It is very important that you show up at your assigned time. These are back-to-back appointments so I will not be able to extend your session or offer a refund if you are late, so please check your call times, etc. before scheduling.
- After payment is received, you will receive a contract to sign as well. This will be the final step to confirm your appointment!
Thursday Night Minis 6PM-9PM: Brooklyn Bridge (please note the earlier times will be more "golden hour" and the later times will showcase the city lights in the background for a beautiful night portrait)
- Friday 8AM-2:30PM: Times Square
- Saturday 8AM-11AM: Times Square (please ensure time doesn't conflict with rehearsal if walking Saturday)
- Saturday 1PM-3PM: Near Venue (please ensure it doesn't conflict with call time if walking at 2:30)
- Saturday night: Currently unavailable in scheduler. Please contact me directly if you need a time in this slot.
- Sunday 9AM-12PM: Location TBD (will most likely be in same location that is decided for group shoot)

- We know a lot of you are walking the runway for the first time! We encourage you to practice as much as you can - that can be in your basement, driveway or your backyard!
